Good riddance. Not worth it on the field, even if he had been a model citizen off the field, clearly this transaction was needed for PR and football reasons. Time to get some real football players in the building.

Khalil Mack may be looking more intriguing at #8.

Maybe even try Griffin at OLB. But I could see Greenway (healed up) Cole, Mauti and Hodges as the main core.

I agree. And you could probably throw a 1-3 round rookie in that mix too

They tried that before, it didn't work.

Are we allowed to draft a LB high or do we have to cross our fingers that some special team guys are going to be our starting LB corps?
Pull yr 84 jerseys out.

I was ready to see Henderson go, even if the off the field issues hadn't cropped up.

No love for CJ Mosley on this board? I would love to have him. Isn't Kalil Mack more of a 3-4 OLB?

I like Mosley. I think he would fit better here than Mack, just my opinion.

If he's there at the start of rd 2, I think Van Noy would be good, or if he's gone, Trevor Reilly. Not sure I'd want to use the top pick on a LB

Have the new coaches settled on a defensive scheme yet? I haven't heard if so. Mosley is expected 1st round, I guess it all depends if they want to use rd 1 on a LB or maybe wait until 2.

I'm expecting more releases, trades, and wheeling/dealing to follow soon. Expect the cleaning of house to flow from the coaching staff to ALOT of players who take up space and don't excel to continue. This playing not to lose philosophy of Childress infected a lot of players too.

I agree. It's cliche' but the NFL is a copycat league. Since Pete Carroll and John Schneider took over in Seattle, they have made something like 1,000+ separate transactions. I hope Zimmer can exert a good amount of influence on Spielman and get him thinking fresh. Some of our players are quality employees, but some..ehh not so much.
