Idk why everyone was so high on Boyd. He looked slow and weak in the preseason.VikingsVictorious wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 12:11 pmThis does not bode well for Kris Boyd.Punkoholic wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2019 9:29 am Vikings reportedly acquire CB Mark Fields from the Chiefs. Re: Vikings officially decline Laquon Treadwell’s fifth-year option
Big news today according to Ian Rapoport: https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1167822071247888385 The #Vikings are moving on from former first-round pick Laquon Treadwell, source said. They will work to trade him, but if no trade, he’ll be released. They may be able to get an egg mcmuffin for him b...

Re: Good news -- Mike Hughes removed from PUP
I don't think it's due to one person but if it was, it would definitely be Roy Williams. The NFL didn't ban it until 13 years after Browner retired so I don't think he had anything to do with the rule change. It wasn't banned until that much later? In my 60 year old fading memory it happened while ...

Re: General Impressions Heading into the 2019 Season
I am negative Nelly, but right now all I'm worried about is the kicking game. If they can figure that disaster out, I think we will be OK.

Re: Good news -- Mike Hughes removed from PUP
LOL, I was born in 1979. Joey browner and Carl Lee were good, but that's as far back as I remember. Man I was 15 by then. Haha. I loved Browner. He would lay the smackdown on ya. Loved the way he incorporated his martial arts into his game ,the way he used his hands. My 40th birthday present was a ...

Re: Good news -- Mike Hughes removed from PUP
Not trying to be a downer on Hughes but his pick six was more because the receiver fell down rather than him jumping a route after reading the quarterback. He's got potential for sure and he still made the play, but just a little perspective. Did he intercept the ball and score a TD? That's all tha...

LOL, I was born in 1979. Joey browner and Carl Lee were good, but that's as far back as I remember. I still kinda take offense to the idea that Antoine Winfield, Fred Smoot, or Cedric Griffin weren't good. I didn't say they weren't good, I said they couldn't catch. Folks need to read the post better.

Re: Good news -- Mike Hughes removed from PUP
I agree 100%, I will give him credit for catching the ball though. Viking DBs have never done that well. I guess you aren't old enough to remember Paul Krause and Bobby Bryant back there like I us old geezers hot to witness lol. Man that seems a long time ago. LOL, I was born in 1979. Joey browner ...

I feel bad for him. I like him a lot. I hope he can still fully recover.

Re: Vikings trade for Vedvik
He should be cut based on two field goals, or his punting? He should be cut if the Vikings don't trust him to take over PKing based on how has punted. Small sample sizes for both kicking and punting so far, but that is all we to go off. It's such a stupid situation. They traded a 5th round pick, so...

That's not good. He is a really good blocker, and he can catch when given the opportunity. I hope he can recover.fiestavike wrote: ↑Mon Aug 26, 2019 8:42 amHe has not recovered from a knee injury he suffered last year. He has been on the Pup list all preseason.
