Re: Chiefs Pre Game discussion

So it appears we are going up against an aggressive blitzing defense. Given our line, I would flood them with dump off passes out of the shotgun. I’d go 2 WR’s, one TE, and split Cook and Mattison left and right behind Cousins. If Thielen doesn’t play, I go 2 TE’s. Get the ball out in 2 seconds and...

Re: Chiefs Pre Game discussion

We need to be at least two games better than Green Bay the rest of the way. It's the only way we win the division. Let's win out and hope Green Bay loses to someone else, like the 49ers. But if they don't lose to S.F. ... could you imagine us being a 14-2 wild-card team? Could happen. Yikes! I reme...

Re: Chiefs Pre Game discussion

If you have to score 30 points per game to win on an average, you are doing something wrong. They remind me of the Rams last year. They can score a ton of points but can't stop anyone. Over the last 2 years, their defense gives up 25 points per game.(And in losses, it's 35.5 points per game) It's h...

Re: Chiefs Pre Game discussion

Teams the Chiefs beat last year had a combined record of 51-125. Teams they lost to had a combined record of 34-14. I took the Chargers(12-4)out because they split with them. I don't fear Mahomes. The Chiefs defense does not do well against good teams. Can they score? Sure, they can also be shut do...

Re: Case Keenum

:? Let's clear something up about Cousins contract. People need to get over this guaranteed stuff. Instead of 3 years guaranteed, let's say Cousins signed a 5-year deal worth $124 million with $84 million guaranteed. The Vikings would be in the same situation. The only difference is the length of th...

Re: Case Keenum

It's interesting ... this thread is about Case Keenum, and if we can't agree that he had a GREAT 2017 season, then the conversation ends with me right there. He was an MVP candidate, plain and simple. Not the MVP, but a candidate. Go back and watch the highlights. He did things that season that Kir...

Re: Case Keenum

First off what exactly is a successful QB. I hear Wilson all the time. Yes he won a Super Bowl. Put him on our current team and he's not winning a Super Bowl. People act as if Vegas would make us the favorites with Wilson. That won't happen We don't have a defense that is even close to the LOB. Wil...

Re: Case Keenum

In order to improve at QB by the draft you really have to lose. Because it's tough to go from 20th to 1-4. And of course if the Vikings do that, and who they pick is a bust, then it will all be the GM's fault. Roughly 50% of all 1st round QB's are busts. Who's going to be the guy? Who do you give 2...

Re: Case Keenum

I think the biggest regret about getting Cousins instead of keeping Keenum at this point is that the team was secure enough to not draft or try to improve the position. They were "set". Keeping Keenum probably would have meant drafting a QB too. Might have had Lamar Jackson right now. Thi...

Re: Vikings/Packers post-game thread

The Vikings should have challenged that goal line pick for defensive PI. King pushed off...not sure if anyone else noticed that. At least it puts more obvious heat on the refs if they don't overturn it like they did the Vikings TD. I saw that as well. The turnover is an automatic review but it sure...

Re: Week 1 Win!: Falcons Post-Game Discussion

The only thing I want the Vikings to do is to keep trying to score. I don't care if you are up 35-0, never let your foot off the gas. It's the other teams' job to stop you from scoring. If they can't, that is their problem, not yours.

Re: 2019 Roster Moves and Transactions Thread

Well he's baaack! My best guess is they didn't think Dillon would make it through waivers so they decided to cut Jones? Glad he's back to provide some depth and insurance policy. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2019/09/10/vikings-re-sign-brett-jones-waive-brandon-dillon/ The Vikings waived ti...

Re: 2019 Roster Moves and Transactions Thread

On the Paul Allen show yesterday they said that rumor has it that Jay Gruden wanted to keep Doctson and cut AP, but Snyder overruled him and they cut Doctson. No idea on how true that rumor is, but given Snyder's long history of stupid GM moves it is plausible. I think the more telling thing is tha...

Re: 2019 Roster Moves and Transactions Thread

As long as he is a 3 or 4, preferably 4. Several knocks on him in Washington was injury, lack of desire, effort vs just not the player they thought he was from college. Injury? He had one as far as anyone knows, but there was a bit of eyebrow raising from coaches. For whatever that means. Since hea...
