Re: Draft Day Discussion
I really like what the Vikings did tonight. While both trades look costly on the surface they're smart. Denver or Vegas were threats to move up for JJ. He's only 21 and coming in to a great situation. The trade for Turner is also fine because we will get two 3rd round comp picks next year. I was sur...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
We brought in the DT out of Texas and Quinyon Mitchell a CB. Both are projected to go around pick 11 so it is entirely possible they wait to draft a QB until pick 23.

Re: Justin Jefferson
Management has been very consistent and forceful in expressing their refusal to trade him. If he demands a trade that would get a the ball rolling. Until then I see no reason to think it's imminent. In my opinion they would be better off trading him for great compensation than paying him 34 million ...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
Great post. I'm not a fan of what Kam has done so far as a GM. He seems better suited to be a capologist than a football evaluator. His first draft was atrocious and if you look at the roster most of the good players were acquired by Spielman. This is undoubtedly the make or break off-season for th...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
This GM knowingly walked into a real mess. Cap Hell, some poor contract structure and an aging core (mostly on Defense) to name a few. How has KAM addressed that though? He extended Cousins again and has made some pretty questionable moves both in the draft and in free agency thus far. By all accou...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
Something I can't figure out is why No is rated so much worse than JJ. Bo has bad film early before the transfer and he's older but both are supposed to have good but not elite arms.

I loved this solution since I first saw it in the XFL. Special teams will be fun to watch again.

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
The older I get the more I think it comes down to the maturity/work ethic of the QB, health, and his supporting cast and coaching early in his career. I think most guys are better off sitting at least half of their first season. If you're a QB who gets drafted high you have the talent to be successf...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
I'm ok with moving up to take Maye. Moving up for JJ would be a huge mistake that would likely get everyone fired in a few years. His ceiling is Tua/ Alex Smith and his floor is Jimmy Clausen. That's not a guy you give up 4 potential impact starters to go get. It's also a guy you will end up paying...

Re: 2024 NFL Draft
https://www.si.com/fannation/bringmethesports/vikings/new-vikings-qb-coach-josh-mccown-has-connections-to-drake-maye-sam-darnold I think we have an agreement in place to move up to number 3 if Maye is on the board. I really like Maye however he will need time to learn how to read defenses and clean...

Re: 2024 Free Agents
So the tag rate is around 22 million and the highest paid WR currently is Tyreek Hill at an average of 30 million a year. How high are you willing to go on a non QB? The cap went up 30 million this year. For me I'd go no higher than 34 million per year which would tie him with the highest paid edge...
