Re: Who Dat Say They Gonna Be Them Vikes
I AM a Vikings fan now! They are now my favorite team, except when they play the Saints :) Damn dude. Our vikes gave your first day as a fan a very heavy dose of Viking football. Hilarious... I just read an article saying the Vikings are always betrayed by their strengths in big games. What do ya k...

Re: Post revenge thoughts on bountygate?
BountyGate was a distraction from the ongoing huge billion dollar lawsuit against the NFL on concussions. It has been estimated that as many as 28 out of 32 teams had some type of "bounty program". Your Vikings team included. Many players have come out and said it was nothing out of the o...

Post revenge thoughts on bountygate?
I will be honest about it as I wrote in the pre-game thread. I wanted injuries for the saints players. After all, it was only fair to want for them what they did to us. However, one thing I want honest opinions about is the thought that maybe bountygate was little to zero reason as to why the Saints...

Maybe if they paint it a flesh color and add some balls to it.PurpleMustReign wrote:I want Favre to blow the gjallerhorn on Sunday. Can that happen?

Re: Divisional Round: Vikings vs Saints Pre-Game Discussion
Thielen was a rookie in 2013. I think you meant Robison but you are right. We need to be aggressive on all front. Not too aggressive of course, but Shurmur and Zimmer only needs to look at KC and see that going conservative in the playoffs is not always smart. Sent from my LG-H872 using Tapatalk So...

Re: Divisional Round: Vikings vs Saints Pre-Game Discussion
My biggest fear for this game is that we don’t get aggressive enough in manhandling their offense. No one on our roster was with us for the 2009 season.... except Thielen. I sure hope he lets all of the newcomers to this organization know what the saints deserve. Reading the saints forums shows thei...

Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants to return, open to pay
Salary cap just got raised by 12 million too. Teams will have to make sure they don't blow it all this year I think. Will be easy for any team to grab discount free agents the year after.

Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants to return, open to pay
What revenue? Jersey sales? Peterson does not show up in the top 25. Harrison Smith does, at #22 (ironically enough). But no Adrian Peterson. Team morale? We have no way of knowing this. We're not in the locker room. Maybe it's the opposite. I mean, do you think team morale was high when he fumbled...

Re: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wants to return, open to pay
From an organizational standpoint I think you have him take a paycut but still pay him "more than he is worth" for 2 reasons. He brings the organization revenue. He adds a lot in terms of team morale. Work ethic is contagious. Much like the way the entire team played for Favre, on some lev...

Re: Vikings' defensive discord raises concerning questions
Brian Billick said this type of thing happens a lot more than you think. The fact that Zimmer is straight forward about what goes may or may not be healthy, but I admire honesty in pretty much all forms. I thought that's what we liked about Zimmer. The sad truth in sports is the only thing that real...

Re: Rick Spielman, what should the Vikes do with him
I don't really get the over-analysis in football. I get that it's fun, but are we aware that we basically never know what we are talking about? I don't think it's even arguable that not only do you need great talent and great coaching, but you also need lightning to strike. 16 games a season. This i...

Re: Rick Spielman, what should the Vikes do with him
My posts are so terrible. I never get across what I am trying too, and I dont even know what I am saying. Going to have to do some proofread because this and the few other posts ive made over the last week, are very close to my my heart. Basically Rick has forgotten all important things, except D. ...

Re: What do we have to do to beat Dallas
Every game we have lost, ST and the D didn't physical run the ball in for a touchdown. Turnovers aren't good enough. They have to turn it over AND take it in themselves. Maybe now that Walsh is gone that won't have to be the case.

Re: Norv Turner Resigns as OC
Kind of sad but it badly needed to happen. I wonder if Zimmer had a conversation with Norv and this was the end result. I don't know what Shurmur can do but I hope he can at least see the big picture, adapt the offense to play to its strengths (yes, it has some) and compensate for the weaknesses. A...

Re: Thoughts on Disappointing Seasons & Blair Walsh
Instead, there are headlines like this: Reusse: Walsh's feel-good story is putting lipstick on a goat I wonder if he would say the same thing if the failure on offense wasn't so evenly distributed. Like if Peterson fumbled 6 times game would it still have been all Walsh's fault if it was the last p...
