Re: Capt. Munnerlyn

I was really excited when we signed Captain... What a huge disappointment he has been on the field this year though. If we can cut him I would be all for it.

Re: question about teddy

Yeah he is a rookie he is going to make mistakes, he is just trying to adjust to the NFL which is a very hard thing to do. Peyton Manning's rookie year was awful, the colts went 3-13 and he threw 28 INTs. I'm not saying he is the next great but he started to look good in the 2nd half, after the two...

Re: Patterson

He had a few catches yesterday. As long as the offense is churning out yards like yesterday I really don't care who is racking them up. Patterson is definitely drawing a lot of attention from opposing defenses. This is bad for his personal stats, but good for guys like Wright and McKinnon. I would l...

Re: Holy Ugliness

Have to point my finger at Spielman, way too many draft busts, and I think Zimmer's honeymoon is officially over. As much as Childress sucked, he was able to bring in NFC championship caliber talent, and was able to do more with castoffs than the last two stooges. Like Detroit, we are a coach, 40+ ...

Re: Peterson to practice and play this weekend.

Big mistake by the Vikings. They're using the "due process" shield but in this case there's not a lot of ambiguity about the relevant details. Peterson has admitted to causing the injuries in question through a statement issued by his lawyer. I don't think the legal verdict is going to ma...

Re: Vikings @ Rams Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1

I went to a Rams game last year. My wife was on a retreat to STL ... I traveled along and got tickets to their opener against the Cardinals. I was dumbfounded at how quiet that stadium was, especially for an indoor stadium. The fans mostly sat on their hands ... for the home opener. When you're use...

Re: Vikings @ Rams Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1

BTW I was at this game, and let me tell you, it felt like a Vikings home game. I was absolutely blown away by how much purple was in that stadium. Nothing like singing "nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye" to the Rams fans as they file out of their own stadium... What a blast :smilevike:

Re: Vikings @ Rams Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 1

Exactly. We played more aggressive O in the preseason for chrissake.[/quote] I believe from what I gathered from watcing Zimm's presser, they had a gameplan to beat the Rams rush, and they decided to stick with it. It would seem the plan was to get the ball out quickly, resulting in short passes, to...

Re: Vikings v. Raiders Game Thread - August 8th

As they say, Brandon Weeden actually played preseason like a Hall of Famer, TB may well be a wash like Ponder has been. I think it will be interesting to see Cassel against his old team, the Patriots. I think the issue will be settled easily. TB will get preseason playing time but obviously has som...

Your prized Vikings posessions.

List the Vikings items you have that you cherish the most... For me... - Signed, mounted, and framed Carter jersey. My parent's snagged this bad boy for my birthday when I was pretty young, still my favorite thing. - 9 photos of AD framed in one with an MVP tag and signed. - Still have the newspaper...

Re: Worst loss in Viking History

2009 vs Saints stung the worst for me. I don't think I got over that loss for a good two weeks. Was legitimately bummed out for days and didn't want to do a thing. Yeah, 12 men in the huddle and the INT were horrible, but I think the fumbles are what really haunt me still. I'll never forgive the Sai...

Re: Who will have a breakout season, who will take a step ba

Step Forward: Wright, Patterson, Cole I sure hope this is Wright's year. I do remember everyone saying before last season that it was going to be his breakout year. Sure hop this is the year he finally can be showcased for the beast he is. Definitely loved seeing Ponder throw that bomb over Sherman'...

That second play he is looking right at the ball. All he has to do is put his hands up or jump. Perfect position for a pick. Good lord...
